Garrett Wozniak is a Partner at IslerDare PC in the firm’s Columbia, Maryland office (coming soon). Prior to joining the firm in March 2024, Garrett practiced for ten years at a management-side labor and employment boutique in Baltimore County, Maryland.

Garrett focuses his practice on the defense of labor and employment claims, as well as providing strategic and legal counseling to both public and private employers. He has experience litigating a variety of employment matters, including claims arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and federal and state wage and hour laws.

Garrett also has substantial experience negotiating collective bargaining agreements for public and private sector clients, defending against unfair labor practice charges, and representing employers in National Labor Relations Board and Maryland Public Employee Relations Board proceedings.

Garrett’s practice includes general advice and counseling in employment matters, the defense of employers in litigation at the federal and state levels, conducting workplace investigations, and representing employers in grievance arbitrations. He also practices before various administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and the Maryland Commission for Civil Rights. In addition to his litigation practice, Garrett regularly drafts and reviews employee handbooks and policies, employment agreements, severance agreements, and settlement agreements. Garrett has litigated in federal courts in California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia.

Before practicing law, Garrett worked in government and politics in Delaware, and was a government affairs consultant for a Fortune 500 company.
